A/R; UEW-K STUDENT'S FINGERS CUT OFF
DECEMBER 12TH, 2017 08:00 AM
A Student of University of Education Winneba, Kumasi Campus (UEW- K), was involved in an incident that resulted in his fingers being cut off.
The Victim, Sampson Osei, a Level 100 student at UEW-K had four of his fingers gruesomely cut off in an attempt to escape the threat of three alleged robbers who visited their campus yesterday, December 11th 2017, around 10:00pm.
According to the victim, he was reporting to his hall (Autonomy Hall) to have some rest after he had burned the evening candle on campus yesterday. He then met these alleged robbers who attacked him and attempted to stab him. Struggling with them, he kept on shouting for help when suddenly some students rushed in to his rescue. The robbers, upon noticing the upcoming danger fled away. Unfortunately, Sampson suffered the cut as he was holding the sharper edge of the knife during the struggle with them and more so when the robber pulled it and fled upon seeing the approach of his colleague students.

Angel News reporter Albert Baidoo visited the place where the victim, Sampson Osei hinted that he was attacked, and realized it was just about 500 meters away from their hall (Autonomy Hall).
The Schools Student Representative Council (SRC) President, Mr. Clifford Joseph Tuffour has confessed to Angel News reporter Albert Baodo that issues concerning security matters are scrupulously poor on campus which as a result is causing many criminal cases on campus.
He there by appealed to the government to come to their rescue before many life's are perished on campus.

ReplyDeleteMay God save us from the hands of these eveil robbers.
ReplyDeleteSince I came to this university we have been hearing cases like this during exams week
ReplyDeleteSo my question is do we vote for eligible person as our representative on this campus twaaaaaaaaaaa
The administration can also do something about this. Let the government rest wai.........
ReplyDeleteHmm., the lighten system in the school is poor.
ReplyDeleteWell, that's a very sad situation we have there. I would say it's quite unfortunate. Security issues are very poor on campus that, anyone comes in and goes out whenever he/she pleases. I'm disappointed in the SRC president for calling out to the government. What are they as SRC doing about it? We've not seen any significant development from their end looking at the dues they've taken. They could do better by providing at least a bus which will be shuttling to and from various halls. I wish the victim a speedy recovery.
ReplyDeleteIts as if there is No security in the school they are not doing anything this IS not the first time incident Like this is happening, there should be DEMO about we have to sit for inocent students life to be perishing AWAKE UEWK
ReplyDeleteLives of precious students cannot be endangered with just a wave of the hand. What are we doing???Awwwwww OUR FATHER IN HEAVEN,, we Never hope for this to continue
ReplyDeleteThis cannot be a stance for lives to be at stake. Students go to learn and even afraid to return none the less, do not go at all. We are aimimg at excellence and that remains our hallmark but we cannot be on tenterhooks when we do not know what maybe if our lives in our quest to study for a betterment. JESUS SAVE OUR SOUL.
