The CEO of Oli Best Road Safety and National Road Safety Advocate, Mr. Richard Karikari who is affectionately called K.K has suggested to the government to make policies that will austere the duty of commercial drivers especially "trotro" drivers in the country.
The national road safety advocate has intimated that the job of commercial drivers is raked important after the duty of doctors as far as servicing human is concern.
According to him, the sever injuries sustained by accident victims are all as a result of the ignorant attitude of some commercial drivers who turn deaf ears to the road traffic Act LI 2180.
He has said some common mistakes like illicit addition of passenger seats to the registered number approved by DVLA, protection of wind glasses with aluminum bars and decoration of wind glasses with tinted sheet are all threats to passenger's safety.
"The more passengers are distressed or feel uncomfortable in vehicles, the higher injuries they are likely to sustain should there be an accident on the road", He reiterated.

He continued that since that portfolio is vital and can't be neglected by travelers, there should be frequent provisions of training seminars for people who have dreams of becoming commercial drivers to help minimize accidents caused as a result of drivers ignorant on road signs and other road traffic acts.
He disclosed, charging the Motor Traffic and Transport Unit officials (MTTU), Police and other road safety ambassadors to ensure that commercial vehicle drivers obey and endure each regulatory act set to prevent accident on our roads.
He made this known today in an exclusive interview with Angel News, Albert Baidoo.
