MUSIGA PROMISE A SONG FOR KABA

The President of the Musicians Union
of Ghana (MUSIGA), Bice Osei Kufour, aka Obour has disclosed that executive
members of MUSIGA are set to release a new song in honor of the late veteran
broadcast journalist, Kwadwo Asare Baffour Acheampong who was affectionately
known as KABA.
The MUSIGA President reiterated that,
KABA was “a great contributor and player in the media landscape”, therefore he
deserve to be honored, It is really sad that a brother, great contributor and
player of democracy in the media landscape will pass away at this moment. He
was fair and unbiased in the journalism portfolio”, Obour hinted this to
adomonline.com shortly after signing the book of condolence.

Obour added that there have been
numerous calls within union members that “he is a brother we should compose a
song to honor his memory”. KABA was the host of Asempa FM political talk show
and dynamic presenter in the multimedia group.
He was rushed to the Korle-Bu
teaching hospital at Accra for an emergency health care after a short ailment.
However, he was pronounced dead on
the early hours of Saturday, on November 18, 2017. Even though the main cause
of his death is yet to be proven by medical practitioners, there are some
rumors and unconfirmed reports that KABA died of low sugar.
His death has ever since been
shocking and has devastated many Ghanaians especially industry players with
tributes pouring in from all corners of the world.

In the course of pouring out tribute to express condolences to the bereaved family of KABA, a Kumasi based Angel FM
News reporter and an author, Albert Baidoo aka Mr. Brainy has structured a poem
to express briefly how the God fearing and popular journalist was…….

The journalist who was
loved across the political divide reported to his normal duties and took
some studio pictures last Tuesday, four days before his death.
KABA who was on duty was captured in the studio with Education Minister,
Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh during a one-on-one interview.
The Educational Minister who was fired up in his conversation with KABA
criticized his predecessor, Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyeman.
However, KABA, as usual, took on the Minister, and called him to task
for comments made against the erstwhile Professor Opku-Agyeman. Read
